Two Men Face Charges Regarding Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack
Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a luggage theft where a believed to be irritant spray led to people being hurt at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and charges for deploying a toxic agent, authorities have stated.
This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after getting out of a car park lift, according to law enforcement.
A young child was among those injured during the incident. Several persons required hospital care and were later discharged.
The incident – described by police as was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
