Trump's Granddaughter Gets Professional Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf First Appearance
This young athlete has impressive social media presence
Kai Trump can count on numerous high-profile supporters as she makes her LPGA debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, obtained a special exemption to compete at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
The former president, a passionate golfer, operates several international courses and frequently matches against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we play competitive games," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who cannot attend, told her: "Just stay calm."
"My grandpa practically suggested to play and relax," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He won't be there for the tournament. He's busy with presidential duties, making him quite busy."
While still amateur, Kai has participated in only three events recently and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
But she can receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He stands as the greatest golfer in the world," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's a superior human being. He told me to play, enjoy myself, and go with the flow."
Kai will face some of most prominent players in women's golf at the competition, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA mentioned that involving Kai brings golf to new audiences, especially among youth audiences.
The young star has substantial online presence and recently launched her own fashion and living label.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
