The First Game Pass Games of 2026 Reveal Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

Everywhere you go, commentators persist in tolling the knell for the green team. Xbox was recently outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Dedicated Xbox communities are now publishing content on PS5 topics as a new development. 2025 was complete chaos for Xbox and Microsoft. But if we're going solely off the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it's evident that Xbox still intends to engage players with quality releases on its flagship service.

The Immediate Additions

A pair of titles you can play right now today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's truly noteworthy.

Significant Forthcoming Releases

Come mid-January, Game Pass will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with a space-faring criminal escapade. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "a superb mixture of terror and combat."

Noteworthy Smaller Games

But even the smaller games set to join the catalog are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler offering thrilling gameplay, arrives January 7th — and it merits a playthrough whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.

This UK-developed survival title from last year could captivate you in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the makers of Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.

A Robust Selection of Games

Ultimately, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they tentpole Microsoft studios games that justify the service in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are rock solid. The lineup provides a solid mix of past releases that passed you by and new-ish games that didn't get the attention they deserved the first time around — which makes them excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.

Hope you're ready to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
