The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Best-selling children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, the company has said.
An official for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was taken subsequent to an review of claims about conduct deemed unsuitable directed at female individuals.
The publisher did not confirm the motivations for this action, noting: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
He has published in excess of 40 works in total, including a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
