On Monday, Leicester Crown Court heard communication data and data recovered from phones recorded Ms Wandelt consistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a DNA test over 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a family holiday in Portugal - is among the most covered investigations and remains unsolved.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

Another phone message, presented in court, captured Ms Wandelt saying: "I know I'm fat and plain like Madeleine used to be, but I believe what I believe."

While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's recording expressed: "Imagine there is a slight possibility that I am Madeleine? What then? Is that not important for you?"

"I don't want money, I maintain a living here in Poland, I simply desire to discover," the message continued.

The panel was informed that through electronic messages, SMS messages and calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a biological test, sent childhood photos to her phone in a bid to show a resemblance to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and stated to have "memories" from a early life with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, a data specialist with law enforcement who gathered the evidence, advised the court there "seemed to lack any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore contacted acquaintances of the McCanns, based on the call data.

On October 9th, 2024, Gerry McCann picked up a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "a wrong number."

During that incident Ms Wandelt recorded a message on Mrs McCann's voicemail stating "I will persist and I will prove my position."

The court learned the co-defendant struck up a association through digital means with Ms Wandelt preceding joining her on a trip to the McCanns' home in Leicestershire in that winter.

Communication data revealed Mrs Spragg had reached out using WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to say the media had depicted Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she deserved to be treated respectfully in the time leading up to the trip to that location, Leicestershire, in December 2024.

The court was told communications between the two defendants, in that autumn, considering endeavoring to acquire Mrs McCann's genetic material from her garbage or from silverware at a dining venue.

"We need to make a stand," Mrs Spragg advised Ms Wandelt.

On the occasion of the appearance to their house, Mrs Spragg transmitted a communication which expressed: "We are positioned near the McCanns' residence with our headlights off similar to detectives. I desired to do this with another person I didn't imagine I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."

The trial proceeds.
