Miami Heat & Trail Blazers Earn Initial Victories Following Player Arrests
The Miami Heat put up eighty-six opening half points versus the Grizzlies
Miami Heat claimed a crushing 146 to 114 victory against the Grizzlies in their first NBA game since guard Rozier was detained over alleged illegal gambling.
Portland Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups was additionally detained in connection with a sweeping federal probe into sports betting. The two individuals deny the claims.
However, the Miami team were focused as they put up 86 opening half scores to lead the Grizzlies by 39 at halftime, the biggest half-time advantage in the team's 37-year history.

NBA Commissioner Silver 'Disturbed' by Arrests
Speaking about the arrests for the first time, NBA commissioner Silver stated he was "deeply disturbed" by the incidents of the past few days.
"There's nothing more important to the league and its fans than the integrity of the competition," he informed a broadcaster. "And so I had a pit in my stomach. It was very upsetting."
The commissioner also mentioned an league probe into Rozier's actions in March 2023, when there was "unusual wagering" in a match he played for the Hornets against the Pelicans, found nothing untoward.
"We were informed by the regulators and the betting companies," he added.
"We then looked into the matter and were very transparent regarding it. And while there was that aberrational betting, we, honestly, found no evidence.
"Federal authorities has legal authority... [it] can threaten to put people in jail, can do all kinds of things that the NBA can't do.
"Therefore, we've been cooperating since then. Naturally, what they announced yesterday was an charge.
"Moreover two and a half years after, he has not been found guilty of anything, in fairness to Terry.
"Clearly, it appears unfavorable, but he's been put on administrative leave, and so it is a balance here between upholding rights and investigating."
